Grooves is a collaboration between Vestbo Trio and Uffe Steen Trio. It's the follow-up to their album Doppler Effect, which they released together in 2018. But this time there's a new twist.
Grooves brings the two trios together, forming what is now a powerful sextet! On Grooves you get all 6 musicians playing together on all the tracks. It's no longer two trios - it's a band!
The first four tracks were "recorded as a live session at the venue Fermaten. There was no audience: We set up everything on the floor, Dennis Ahlgren mic'ed everything so we could play in a circle together, and then we hit the record button. For the vibe, see the video above!"
While the last four tracks on the album were "recorded live on the road. This is a powerful set that we're proud of!"
Mastered by the legendary Bob Katz, the sound is stunning!
